• Argentium Links Being Fused in the Workshop

    Argentium

Argentium is 100% ethically recycled silver. Argentium silver is a high purity jewellery alloy that meets the hallmarking requirements for the UK standard.

The alloy modifies the conventional sterling silver composition with the addition of germanium.

  • Recycling Symbol Used by reliable companies for Example Cooksongold

    100% recycled precious metal

All the precious metal I use is either made from 100% ethically sourced recycled metals or recycled from old hallmarked jewellery in-house.

Products are independently tested for purity and hallmarked by the London Assay Office, assuring the quality.

  • Image of a Billet of "Mokume Gane" torch fused in the workshop of The Recycled Metal Smith

    Mokume Game

Layers of Silver and Copper torch fused, in the workshop, onel billet at a time.

This alloy was originally developed in Japan. I used 100% recycled pure silver from a reliable source and copper from old copper pipe.

  • Up-Cycled Brooch on a Hand Made Sterling Silver Box

    Up-Cycling and Reusing

Up-cycling—or simply re-using—precious metals begins with taking a beautiful object, for example a handmade malachite-and-silver brooch rescued from a garage sale, and, with a little modification, transforming it into an entirely new creation.
